WWI/Great Depression Research: Day One

Students were excited to jump into research to explore their driving questions!  Groups were able to use the new interactive TV in the library as well as the brainstorming wall.  Seeing their excitement swell as they began researching was incredible.  I can't wait to see how their ideas grow and change over the next few weeks!

Improving our resumes and working on our website portfolios

Students are adding information to their resumes for group selection taking place next week.  Some students are adding in new strengths and others are adding lessons learned.  We are also creating website portfolios to store their group projects as well as the planning pieces that go with it: charts, research, planners, storyboards, scripts, etc.

And the World War I Frontloading Begins!

We  began frontloading information for World War I for our next PBL.  Sudents enjoyed using their new devices from Christmas and took notes with learn/wonder charts as well as adding words to their unfamiliar words chart on Google Docs. 

 The ideas are already forming for projects and their discussions are deep!
