Final Run Through Before Presentations

Students were working together this morning to get ready for their WWII presentations later today!

PBL Showcase Night

Seven students in our class came back to school last night to present part of a project they were proud of from this school year.  It was great to see the excitement of students as well as parents!

WWII Project Creation

We are in the midst of project creation and students are excited about their projects and how they have evolved throughout the process!  We have students using Minecraft to show Anne Frank's hiding spot, website design, prop creation, and filming!

Exploring Geometry

This week's focus has been on geometry and looking at angles and their measurements.  Today we took math outside since it was such a beautiful day and teams worked together to measure and notice different attributes to shapes!

Badge Day-Google CS First: Storytelling

Badge day is one of the students' favorite days to code!  They compete to try and complete six coding tasks to earn badges.  Some of the challenges were:

-Have a character escape the scene by sliding

-Have a new character enter the scene

-End the story with animation and a closing

-Have a fading transition

-Have two characters talk to one another

-Have a new character save the day in the story

As always, we had tons of fun!
