This group is researching breast cancer and the effects it has on patients before, during, and after a diagnosis and treatment. They had a phone conference with an Oncologist, Dr. Patel, from Northside Hospital and learned so much from her expertise and how treatment is changing so quickly. The group noticed how beautiful a cancer cell looks under the microscope and thought it was odd that something so destructive could be so stunning and so they decided to create art from these cell photographs. They are testing out different materials and paint and are thinking of having a gallery of paintings on clear canvas that are back lit.
Needless to say, I cannot wait to see how their project turns out in a few weeks!
